Many efforts are undertaken to cease the slow disapearance of primary forests throughout the alps. Here is a tranquille setting of original 'Selva' in the Bosco Sanoella near the river Maggia in the canton Ticino. Even in dry summers this little mountains stream carries refreshing cool water and turns into a violent torrent during the often occurring heavy thunderstorms. The abundance of maroon trees once played an important source of income in the lifes of many locals.
