Toroweap 3000 ft. Drop-off - A 2 hrs. drive due south of St. George at Torowheap the road ends at a 3000 ft. Drop-off into the Grand Canyon. When Vulcans Throne (5102 ft.) created the Lava Falls Rapids the Colrado River was dammed creating a lake presumably larger than Lake Powell today.
