HALO-Photographs | 'Time-Lapse - Clouds over Piz Corvatsch' | Main Index Page |
Recently while skiing Piz Corvatsch (3303m) in the Engadin I found the clouds rapidly moving over the mountain rather intriguing and decided to take a time-lapse exposure.
This sequence consists of 1178 single shots taken every 6 seconds with my Nikon D300 as full-frame NEF-images over a period of 2 hours.
Unfortunately someone bumped the tri-pod with their ski-poles hence there is a little bump towards the end and then at the very end suddenly heavy fog moved in creating a wonderfull whiteout. But by that time the battery got too cold already and shot down the camera without me noticing this misshap - what a bummer!
Below the 'movie' I have placed variations of the same movie optimized for web-delivery to desktop screens or handheld devices ensuring a quality video experience.
